Me da was a mean old git...fed me barely enough to keep me alive and beat me every day and twice on Sunday; usually got me beating after I got home from a day of picking pockets to support him while he sat on his lazy arse. Ol' Hatcher Sterling had himself quite an operation going...his mutant power, for lack of a better description, was 'super-charisma'; he filled our home with the whores he picked up when he went slumming at the worst dives in town and then had them work for him. Later, I shared my living space not only with the Dolly Birds, but with their nippers as well. Hell, I didn't blame the snot-nosed little wankers...they were like me...Hatcher's fucktard spawn.  Things changed between Da and meself when I got me short and curlies...he tried to use his power on me and it didn't work...he tried to hit me and I easily avoided him....he raged and started hitting my half siblings...I ripped his throat out. You might think I look back on that day with regret...Fuck that! It gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling! Let's get back to those peple I love, wot? Blithe Winnington...what a stunner! When she walked into my life, I thought I could actually become a decent man. Funny, right? There was one problem with that line of thinking...Clive Winnington. A right Lombard that one. Lombard? When Blithe became pregnant, I thought her parents would surely come around...I'm sure she did too...we were both wrong. Poor pussycat...On top of it all, I fell into me old ways, drinking, brawling, gambling, whoring...enough was enough...I loved Blithe and little Nate too much and, so, I did the best thing for them...I left. Over the years, I've checked in on the boy now and then...been thinking of joining his crew. So, no...I'm no longer Nigel Sterling...I'm Drake Tanner, a feral mutant. -Abilities : His primary mutant power is an accelerated healing ability that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his body far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary human. He can regenerate organs such as missing eyes and large portions of flesh. Possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those possessed by certain animals. Bengal is able to see objects, with greater clarity, at much greater distances than an ordinary human. His sight is enhanced to the point that he can see with this same level of clarity in almost complete darkness, just like a nocturnal cat. This may be in part a result of being able to see into the infrared and ultraviolet portions of the spectrum. His sense of hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to hear sounds that humans cannot. Bengal is able to use his highly developed sense of smell to track targets by scent. He is able to track targets with an impressive degree of success, even if the scent has been eroded by certain natural factors, such as weather conditions. Many of Bengal's natural physical attributes are beyond human levels. He possesses some degree of superhuman strength, the exact limits of which are unknown.
